Delhi Dy. Chief Minister Mr. Manish Sisodia today announced the setting up of a Clean Energy Research Center at Delhi Technological University. The Center will come up in partnership with the Government, under the mentorship of DCE alumnus Prof. Dharendra Yogi Goswami, University of South Florida. Prof. Goswami has also donated Rs. 70 lakh for the purpose. The announcement was made at the Home Coming Meet for the Golden and Diamond Jubilee Batches, held at DTU today.
Prof. Dharendra Yogi Goswami graduated from the Delhi College of Engineering in 1969 with a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. He advises the Government of India and the U.S. Congress on energy policy. He is also a Distinguished Professor and Director of the Clean Energy Research Center at the University of South Florida. Prof. Goswami holds 18 patents and has over 400 articles published in peer-reviewed journals, along with 22 books on solar energy.
